Egginton Group - Knives and Sharpening Steels

We are delighted to announce the launch of the Egginton Group website.

This is a real "Sheffield" site. Egginton Group continue to manufacture knives under some of the world's oldest cutlery brands including Joseph Rodgers and George Wostenholm.

The new site has been built using the MODx CMS.

Immovable blog

We have launched a new blog for Mind the Gap - Immovable as part of the Cultural Olympiad programme in Yorkshire.

Check out some of the ideas for moving the immovable - we like King Kong and Godzilla.

The site has been built using Wordpress.

We have relaunched the Land Instruments website, built using Ruby on Rails.

Land Instruments have a worldwide reputation as specialists in the design and manufacture of monitors and analysers for industrial infrared temperature measurement, combustion efficiency and environmental pollutant emissions.

Ecommerce site for Panel Systems

We have launched a new ecommerce site for Panel Systems.

Panel Systems are a Sheffield company that manufacture insulated panel products. The new ecommerce site has been built using Magento.

Welcome Valentinos

Welcome to Valentinos Papasavvas who has joined Llama Digital after completing his Masters in Databases at Sheffield Hallam University.

Valentinos's thesis was called "Investigation of Column-Based Databases Performance against Relational Databases" which we think surely qualifies him as a certified techie.

Valentinos will start by getting stuck in to some of our Drupal websites.

Of Mice and Men - 360 Tour

20 Jan 11

We continue to help theatre company Mind the Gap explore creative applications for 360° virtual tour technology. This time we have produced a virtual tour for the Of Mice and Men blog. It has three scenes - one showing the setup before the performance, the second showing a scene from the performance itself  and the third showing the rapturous applause from the audience at the end!

The blog has been built in Wordpress and promotes the new play from Mind the Gap that will be touring in the spring. We can't wait to see it in Sheffield on 11th May at the Blue Shed.

SOAR Works website launches

We have built a website for SOAR Works - a purpose built Enterprise Centre in north east Sheffield. Building work is well underway - it will be a fantastic building when it is finished.

The website has been built using the MODx content management system. MODx is a great solution for this size of website, flexible without being too complicated and with a great admin interface

RedWeb Security

A new year, a new website. We are proud to kick the year off with the launch of a new website for RedWeb Security - www.redwebsecurity.com.

This site was built to extremely tight timescales. The project only kicked off at the end of November but shows what can be achieved when there is a real focus from ourselves and the client to hit a deadline.

The site has been built using the Drupal content management system.

Ecommerce site for gift card company

We have launched a new ecommerce website for SVM Cards who provide gift cards and vouchers for brand names such as Debenhams, Top Man and PC World. See www.svmcards.co.uk.

The new website, built using Magento, is targeted at consumers and businesses.

Llama Digital Takes on Fundraising Challenge for Breast Cancer Care

On Thursday August 6th Llama Digital attended the first Breast Cancer Care Ladies Day at Costco and helped to raise £805.00 for Breast Cancer Care, the UK's leading provider of breast cancer information and support.

Following this event we have decided to adopt Breast Cancer Care as our charity of the year we will make a donation at the end of the year from all new work that comes into the agency.

Abigail Batchelor, Area Fundraiser – North & Midlands at Breast Cancer Care said:

"We are delighted that Llama Digital is supporting Breast Cancer Care. Every contribution makes a difference and enables Breast Cancer Care to continue to provide people affected by breast cancer with free support and information when they need it most."

Breast cancer is now the most common cancer among women in the UK. Every week, over 800 people receive the devastating news that they have breast cancer. Breast Cancer Care aims to be there for every one of them, their family and their friends.
